Help Leila Achieve Her 100-Mile Race Dream!

Hi, I'm Leila. I'm a fierce endurance athlete, a dedicated single mom, and a full-time worker. Life is a constant balancing act, and while I manage to cover all my bills, there’s often very little left over for the extras. But that’s okay, because I’m used to pushing through tough times and giving it my all.

In March, I have a chance to take on a huge personal challenge: a 100-mile race. This race is a milestone I’ve been working toward for a long time. I’m in the best shape of my life, and I want to celebrate this by competing at my highest level. Over the years, I’ve shown up at every race with determination and grit. I’ve consistently finished in the top 3, and more often than not, I’ve crossed the finish line in first place.

However, times are tough. While I can manage my day-to-day expenses, I don’t have the extra funds to cover everything needed for this race: accommodations, supplies, and the looming issue of my car’s check engine light that’s been on for over six months, this is the biggest issue as I have to drive about 5 hours to get to my race (Blackbeard's Revenge Ultra Marathon). Without these funds, I might have to miss this race—something I’m not willing to accept.

This race isn’t just about the finish line. It’s about showing my kids that hard work, perseverance, and a refusal to give up pay off. It’s about proving to myself that no matter how many obstacles life throws my way, I can rise above them.
