My name is Laura Pisarek. I was displaced and adopted into the United States from Russia during the fall of the Soviet Union and the constitutional crisis of 1993. I am a caregiver by trade with a special focus on combat veterans in hospice. I am now currently taking care of 5 children. Four are my foster/adopted children, and the youngest is my biological 7-month-old baby boy. I am pregnant with a 6th child on the way.
Due to a DV situation, I am suddenly now the sole provider for these children while their biological parent receives treatment for anger issues so they can be the very best version of themselves for these kids and set a better example of authentic integrity. Because of this situation, I am asking for temporary support from the community to ensure these children thrive and are empowered throughout this process.
I am asking for 5k to be raised to help cover utilities, therapeutic resources, and baby supplies for the next 6 months while my SSI application as well as other financial support are being processed. I am happy to provide utility and billing statements and/or receipts upon reasonable request, as well as potential reimbursement once my finances are back up and running to the fullest.
