Join Us in Bringing Essential Mental Health Support to Schools in Rural Tanzania! .
We are Kipawa Dreams, a grassroots mental health and youth empowerment organization based in Arusha, Tanzania. We are calling on you to take action.
In early 2025, we launched the US OVER ME project, an impactful school-based mental health and psychosocial support program. We successfully introduced counseling, play therapy, sports, and teacher training to two rural primary schools: Manyire and Mlangarini. The results have been astonishing:
Over 500 students reached, smiles restored, and safe spaces created for children to express, heal, and grow.
But this is just the start.
Too many children continue to suffer from anxiety, trauma, and emotional distress in silence. They bear burdens far too heavy for their small shoulders, with many lacking access to vital mental health support. Some are on the brink of dropping out, while girls face overwhelming challenges such as inadequate menstrual hygiene supplies, pressure to marry early, and household obligations.
That’s why we are determined to raise $25,000 to expand the US OVER ME program to five more schools, directly impacting over 3,000 children and youth in our community.
