My amazing nurse practitioner cousin Kim Taylor has started a small concierge women's health clinic focusing on hormonal support through perimenopause and menopause. She is an unbelievably hardworking and compassionate person, who worked as a labor & delivery nurse for decades before getting her NP license and now works on the cardiac floor at one of our local hospitals. As part of her NP journey, she worked for a private practice and saw just how much need there is for educated and empathetic support through menopause. If you've ever struggled with getting your doctors to take your symptoms seriously, you can understand how important it is to have someone who gets it.

The clinic will function as part virtual health clinic, part urgent care hotline, and will be available to patients with a monthly subscription fee. Kim isn't seeing this as a money making venture, and wants the fee to cover just the cost of necessary insurance and a medical electronic health records program. With that in mind, she's trying to keep the subscription fee somewhere between $25-$50 per month, and wants to cap membership at under 20 patients for now, with room to grow. Rather than pass on the start up cost to the subscribers, I suggested fundraising through small donations to get her up and running so she can get in the business of helping people (myself included) as soon as possible.

I've created this fundraiser to help Kim with startup costs including: filing for an LLC, malpractice insurance, attorney consult, a dedicated computer, and the first four months of electronic health records software through Athena Health. I also want to help her get to the 2025 WorldLink Medical Academic Summit in CA this September, so she can network and learn about the latest updates in treatment modalities for hormone replacement therapy, clinical innovation, and best practices for running her new clinic.
