Support the FULLSTEPUP Music Enhancement Program
The FULLSTEPUP Music Enhancement Program is a nonprofit initiative dedicated to giving young students access to music education and instruments—opportunities that many families simply cannot afford or resources they don't have access to.
STORY BREAK - CHAD
When I was in sixth grade, I visited my friend Alan Grobey’s house—somewhere I had been many times before. But that day was different: Alan had just gotten a drum set. We spent hours learning the basics, then started playing along to albums like The Game, Glass Houses, and I Am—records that still stand out in my memory.
When I got home, I told my parents how badly I wanted to join the school band. That moment marked the beginning of my musical journey. As I progressed, I became increasingly drawn to the bass guitar. Influenced by bassists like Sting and John Taylor—who were dominating the charts at the time—and later discovering Stanley Clarke, my curiosity quickly turned into a full-fledged passion.
From there, my interest in music only grew. I expanded beyond bass to explore other instruments, including guitar, banjo, and more, deepening my connection to music with every step.
BACK TO IT
Our mission is simple: grant access to resources and/or remove financial barriers so kids can experience the power of music.
Through FULLSTEPUP, we collect donated instruments such as guitars, amplifiers, and music equipment, refurbish them when needed, and place them directly into the hands of students who want to learn. We also provide beginner-friendly instruction that teaches students everything from the physical aspects of the guitar and proper setup to chords, basic music theory, and building confidence through music.
"Music ‘brings us together, helping us reflect upon who we are, where we have come from, and what lies ahead.’ The arts and music transcend ‘languages, cultures, and borders’ … and helps ‘exchange ideas and styles and share in the artistic vibrancy born from diverse experiences and traditions."

Music education helps students develop discipline, creativity, confidence, and emotional expression—skills that last a lifetime. Unfortunately, many schools and families lack the resources to provide instruments or lessons.
That’s where FULLTEPUP comes in. Your support will help us:
- Provide guitars and instruments to students in need
- Maintain and repair donated instruments
- Supply amplifiers, strings, and learning materials
- Expand free beginner music lessons
- Grow a community program where young musicians can thrive
Every donation helps us put an instrument in a student’s hands and open the door to a lifelong love of music. Together, we can help the next generation FULLSTEPUP through music.
"We are the same. There is no difference anywhere in the world. People are people. They laugh, cry, feel, and love, and music seems to be the common denomination that brings us all together. Music cuts through all boundaries and goes right to the soul. "
