Many kids don’t want to go to school because they feel like they don’t belong. Today, the biggest challenges in schools are low engagement and poor attendance—and too many students are struggling in silence.
B.I.O.N.I.C. (Believe It Or Not I Care) Teams are changing that.
For 21 years, B.I.O.N.I.C. school clubs have empowered students to create caring cultures where peers are seen, valued, and never alone. Students reach out to those who are new, sick, bullied, or grieving—often preventing bullying, suicide, and school violence before it starts.
Born from real tragedy—including shootings at 5 schools and 4 student suicides at another school—B.I.O.N.I.C. exists because students often do know when someone is struggling…they just don’t know how to speak up.
The impact:
- 150+ schools worldwide
- 400,000+ people reached
- 89% of B.I.O.N.I.C. students say it gives them a reason to want to come to school
- 92.3% say it increases empathy and understanding
One parent shared: “When I heard my daughter’s diagnosis, I knew she would be okay at school because B.I.O.N.I.C. would make sure she wasn’t alone.”
But last year, dozens of schools lost their B.I.O.N.I.C. Teams due to budget cuts—removing a critical safety net for students who need it most.
It costs $1,200 to start a team and $600 to renew it each year.
A student recently asked, “Do you think we could find 1,000 people to give $20 to help schools keep B.I.O.N.I.C.?”
We believe the answer is yes.
Will you help make that possible?
Please donate today and help students feel seen, valued, and not alone.
