My name is Keena Steffin. I will be 42 years old in September. I am married with three children. My oldest just enlisted in the army and is stationed in Alaska. Many of you know my mother and the impact she has made in our community. Growing up, I was known as “Little Kat,” but I’ve learned my calling is to become my own person—serving others with compassion, faith, and purpose.
Today, I am asking for help to continue pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Montreat College. My tuition is $7,560 per semester, and every donation helps me move closer to my dream of becoming a neuropsychologist and advocating for children, families, and vulnerable communities.
For nearly 10 years, I worked with Buncombe County Schools, supporting students with special needs. In 2026, while helping de-escalate a difficult situation, I suffered nerve damage that changed my life and forced me to leave the career I loved. Despite this setback, I remain determined to continue helping others.
Right now, I work part-time with the Autism Society and IFPHA while my husband and I struggle to keep up with tuition, car repairs, bills, and caring for our children. There are days when simply making ends meet is difficult, but I refuse to give up on the calling God has placed on my heart.
I plan to graduate in December 2027, and your support will help me stay in school, provide for my family, and continue a life dedicated to service. My mission is simple: “One less.” One less person hurting. One less person forgotten. One less soul without hope.
If you are able to donate, share, or pray for our family, it would mean more than words can express.
