I’ve fought breast cancer with everything I have — mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiation, daily medication, and side effects that still challenge me every day. I’ve worked hard to return to my job, take care of my children, and rebuild our lives after the hardest year we’ve ever faced.

Now, I’m finally at my last big hurdle: life-changing breast reconstruction surgery on September 4th. This is the step that will help me reclaim my body, my confidence, and my wholeness after cancer took so much.

But I can’t do it alone.

The recovery will take 8 weeks for the first surgery, followed by another 6 weeks after a second procedure next year — 14 weeks out of work total. Even with partial disability pay, I’ll face a $750/month income gap, plus extra costs for travel to UC Davis, healing supplies, and childcare.

 I’m asking for your help so I can focus on healing instead of worrying about how to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table.
