Help Me Attend the Amputee Coalition’s 40th Anniversary Event

For 46 years, I’ve lived the journey of limb loss, its challenges, its victories, and the purpose it has given me. Today, I’m stepping forward not just as an amputee, but as an advocate and rehabilitation innovator committed to helping others rise with strength and dignity.

Yes, the time is coming up soon! They are the leading nonprofit in the U.S. dedicated to supporting millions of people living with limb loss and limb difference through education, peer support, advocacy, and community programs. Their mission is simple -- "No amputee should ever feel alone".

Attending this event is a life‑changing opportunity. I will be completing the 'Peer Support certification', which will allow me to visit hospitals and rehabilitation centers to mentor individuals who have experienced limb loss. With nearly five decades of lived experience, I know how powerful it is to meet someone who truly understands, and I’m ready to be that person for others.

This event also brings together amputees from across the country, along with directors, foundation leaders, and major prosthetic manufacturers showcasing new technology and innovations. I’ll have the chance to build a good foothold in the USA amputee world, build relationships, share the projects and workshops I’ve been developing, and collaborate with organizations that are shaping the future of prosthetic care and rehabilitation. This in turn will magnify my mission work in Barbados and provide better resources to facilitate growth & forward momentum.

Getting to the event in Las Vegas is expensive. The 3‑day event is actually a 5 day trip. It includes travel, lodging, and event costs that add up quickly. I’m asking for support to help cover a portion of these expenses so I can take this next big step in serving the amputee community.
