My name is Canary Simmons. I’m a former student-athlete who recently graduated from the illustrious Texas Southern University. I will be throwing my 2nd annual youth football camp on Saturday, July 19, 2025.

The purpose of the camp is to develop each campgoer's skillsets and also pass down knowledge that will aid, develop, and prepare them as they strive to reach their athletic goals. There will be both current and former Division I athletes in attendance at this camp, coaching and sharing their stories/journeys. This camp is intended to also create community and bring youth together from all different neighborhoods and areas of Houston, TX. At this camp, the youth will be able to create lifelong relationships, gain confidence and knowledge, and ultimately have fun.

In order to make this a successful and beneficial camp, I am asking for financial donations from anyone that is willing to support what I have outlined for our youth. Any donations of any amount will make a significant difference for this great cause and are greatly appreciated. These donations will go towards purchases of participant t-shirts, tents, tables, water, Gatorade, equipment, photography, DJ, and a contingency fund that will be set aside for unforeseen and/or unexpected occurrences.
