I'm an Aries Taurus cusp who declared her pronouns of She/Her at the age of six. While born with a male casing of flesh, my spirit has felt like it's been cooked since the beginning.
I'm irritated because I'm dealing with a lot right now. I had intended to update my other GoFundMe profile. i inadvertently created this page. Each time it reminds me of all the struggles I had to endure to bring myself to this step once again
I know, I sound like I'm complaining. I only had hoped that the framework of my transition later in life had been made clearer when I was younger. Having an eleven year old son (started my transition when he was 3) it feel as though I'm stuck in a playground I was never intended to get out of.
But it's all in my past and wasn't one for wasting time. Stayed silent for long enough to have the same experience of having my mouth covered by the mask of covid as the rest of them.
I came home while thinking of not returning to my wife and son in 2019. Only to be caught in someone else's can of would nots(worms) while they kicked the can down the road.
I've always given myself to others needs rather than speak of my own. Out of respect for the feelings of my family and beliefs of the congregations I grew up in. Now that the Methodist church I attend and am a member of is reconciling it has only added to the which way is the right way.
I'm headed forward. The only way we were meant to go. Others like myself have gone before me and faced their own hurdles. Lowering the challenge of becoming part of a society I strongly believed would accept and recognize me. Grateful to say that I am experiencing that now.
Rent us due in June and so far my hours at work and my one year lease until January 2026 weighs heavy on my mind. As well as my family. They realize now why I valued my time to write, analyze, and meditate on the things I did.
Expecting an immediate answer to their questions or concerns, now they understand my hesitation and reluctance to participate in the continuos events and activities which didn't align with my feminine name and identity.
