Haylee (Shenda’s daughter) will be unable to complete her degree without our help!

After Shenda’s sudden passing in March, Haylee is left to fund her own education. She has maximized all the financial aid and merit scholarships and grants at Marymount College in Manhattan, and was looking to return to New York this fall. For her to return to campus, she would need to pay $18,000, and sustain payments for the rest of her junior and senior year to graduate.

Shenda lived her life with great pride in her family, community, and the greater world. She loved the arts, encouraging Haylee to dance from a young age, and Shenda supported her daughter’s dream to move to New York. Haylee left Marymount last spring to close out Shenda’s estate, and she offered local classes to dance and stretch in Pocahontas County, West Virginia.

This GoFundMe is set up to fund Haylee’s education——with the ultimate hope of sending her back for the fall semester with a miracle.

Shenda’s bright light of a soul in this world has influenced all of us. It’s our turn to continue her legacy by giving her daughter wings to fly with a full undergraduate education. Thank you for contributing!
