In March of 2023, Lindale, Texas resident Hannah Evans' world turned upside down after surviving a catastrophic skiing accident during a Colorado spring break trip her senior year of high school at the age of 18. While the past two & half years have been anything but easy for Hannah, she is finding new ways to adapt to a "new normal" in life as a paraplegic. After a wild journey through recovery, Hannah is moving forward with deeper faith, growing confidence & is seeking more opportunities for independence where she can. Hannah has been able to thrive in this season & works a full-time job while also attending college as a full-time student in Tyler, TX. Even with her T-10 complete spinal cord injury, Hannah still has full use of her upper-body, allowing her the ability to drive with an adaptive vehicle. We're hoping to support her desire for flourishing independence by raising funds to purchase a wheelchair accessible van on her behalf! While the Texas Workforce Commission will cover the cost of the vehicle modifications, she is still responsible for paying for a new vehicle (from limited compatibility options) to provide to them. Hannah has been working with a great organization in the Dallas area that is familiar with these services to assist her in this process after acquiring a new minivan that meets the requirements. As her close community & family, we are looking to raise $50,000 to cover the cost of the vehicle & bless her with the independence she needs to drive herself to and from work, school, church & to run everyday errands on her own! We believe that the good work that God has begun in Hannah's life is far from over & we are excited to see what the Lord's future plans hold for her. We were blown away by the outpouring of love & support over two years ago & want to continue to encourage Hannah with the same rallying of hope & community once again! No contribution is too small & we are so grateful for your desire to provide tangible support to Hannah's life in this way!
