Help Launch the First IHSA Equestrian Team at an HBCU!

We are a passionate group of students at Hampton University dedicated to making history by establishing the first-ever IHSA (Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association) team at an HBCU. In collaboration with Areion Equestrian, our goal is to create a space where students of all backgrounds, including those with limited access to equestrian sports, can compete, grow, and excel in the world of collegiate riding.

Equestrian sports have historically been underrepresented in HBCU communities, and we believe that Hampton University has the potential to be a leader in diversifying this arena. Our team will not only provide an opportunity for personal growth and competition but also inspire future generations of African American riders to pursue their passion for horses and riding.

However, to make this dream a reality, we need your support! We are raising funds to cover the costs of:

Equestrian Gear: Saddles, helmets, and riding attire for our team members.

Horse Rentals & Training: We need funds to secure quality horses and professional training.

Competition Fees & Travel Costs: To compete in IHSA events, we must cover entry fees and travel expenses.
