Help Girls Stay in School and Build a Brighter Future
My name is Nahom Teshome, and I am a 10th-grade student who believes education can change a life.
Through my uncle’s work with the Disatu EYES Foundation, I learned about talented girls in rural Ethiopia who are working hard in school but face serious financial challenges. Many come from families who struggle to afford basic school needs, and without support, they risk falling behind or even dropping out. I visited the center with my family several times and was impressed by how happy they looked and eager to learn STEM subjects.
These students have big dreams—to become doctors, engineers, and teachers—and I wanted to do something to help. I started this fundraiser to give them a better chance to continue their education and succeed.
With your help, we hope to raise $5,000 to support
these students.
Your donation will help provide:
1. School supplies and learning materials
2. Tutoring in math, science, and English
3. Support for national exam preparation
4. Small stipends to help students stay in school
Even small contributions can make a meaningful difference:
$25 → school supplies
$50 → one month of tutoring
$100 → exam preparation support
$300 → supports one student for a semester
The Disatu EYES Foundation supports high-potential girls from low-income families in Ethiopia through tutoring, mentoring, and financial support. Over the past several years, many students in the program have passed their national exams and continued to college, far above the national average.
I am leading this fundraiser and will share updates on our progress and how the funds are used. This project is important to me because I believe every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, no matter where they are born. Any amount helps, and every donation brings us closer to changing a life.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and belief in these students’ futures.
