Empower Future Leaders: Help Attend WLC

I’m seeking support to help me attend the World Leadership Congress at Loyola University this July. I was recognized by HOBY South Carolina as a state finalist (2nd runner-up), amongst 140 of my peers, to attend the congress.

If I am given the chance to attend The Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Foundation (HOBY) World Leadership Congress (WLC), I will take everything I've learned at HOBY South Carolina and all of my past experiences to really indulge in all of the new cultures and ideas at the seminar! To say that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity would be an understatement; I would be getting to represent my school, state, and even country in a melting pot of different people from across the globe!

In just 3 days at HOBY SC, I was able to learn so many new things about myself and how I can improve as a leader. I can't begin to imagine the impact 8 days of these keynotes and seminars would have on me. An important lesson I learned at HOBY was that, "leadership is not a title, but an act". Actions speak louder than words, and I can't wait to use these resources at The World Leadership Congress to fuel my ability to be the change I want to see in my community.
