Help Support the Next Generation of Champions – Quiet Storm Track & Field Team
Quiet Storm Track & Field isn’t just a team—it’s a legacy.
Originally founded by Alvin and Marie Blakney, Quiet Storm began as a way to keep a small group of passionate youth athletes, including their own children, engaged in the sport they loved. As local track options began to fade, they chose not to walk away—instead, they built something bigger. Competing independently at first, the Quiet Storm athletes quickly made a name for themselves on larger stages, showing that talent, grit, and community support could take them farther than they ever imagined.
By 2009, Quiet Storm had grown into a powerhouse in the Southeast, producing All-Americans, conference champions, MVPs—and most importantly, sending every single athlete to college on a track and field scholarship between 2009 and 2014. Today, many of those same athletes are coaching, mentoring, and giving back to the next wave of youth just like them.
Now, we’re rebuilding that legacy.
Our current team trains athletes ages 3 to 18, instilling in them the same work ethic, discipline, and love for the sport that built Quiet Storm's name. We believe every child deserves access to elite opportunities—no matter their background. That’s why we’re raising funds to support:
Meet registration fees
Team uniforms and equipment
Travel and lodging for competitions
Facility rental and training resources
With your help, we can continue to nurture young athletes, create lifelong memories, and open doors to college scholarships and beyond.
Every dollar makes a difference. Thank you for helping us keep the storm strong.
