As a dance coach and mentor, I’ve always believed in the power of movement to heal, inspire, and bring people together. I started teaching dance again after the loss of my father, and it has been a source of strength for me ever since. The process of returning to the studio, sharing my love for dance with young minds, and seeing my students grow not just as dancers but as individuals has been an incredible journey of healing. This team, Uncharted Elite Dance Team, represents more than just talent — it’s about resilience, community, and passion. These young dancers come from Flint, Michigan, and they train hard, often without access to many of the resources other teams have. The opportunity to travel to Dallas for a prestigious competition is not only a chance for them to showcase their skills but also a life-changing experience that will inspire them to dream bigger.
