Empower Evangeline and Her Kids Through Education

Hi, Everyone!

I’m a single mother of three from a broken marriage of being cheated on for 7 years out of our 14 years of marriage. Amidst my separation and divorce, I was also diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer and had to give up our home.

Fast forward 3 years now, I’m divorced, renting a home and a 2-year cancer survivor. Bettering our life with working hard by going back to school for my Master's degree.

How do I describe my kids… my oldest, is in Senior high school. He took on and made himself as the male figure in his sisters' lives. In the process, he had been struggling with his own anxiety and depression, some of which stems from the father’s abandonment. My middle child, the strong personality who fights for her feelings and life as she grows to be a teen. Finally, my not so little one. She’s the sweetest who tends to soften all of us as we hone strength and courage to constantly stand on our feet to go through life together.

I generally do not like asking people for help not because of pride but because I know each and everyone of us have their own struggles. However, with my recent life journey and therapy, I have learned that asking does not make me less of a person.

I am currently enrolled for my Masters in Management at the Catholic University of America and already took on a chunk amount of deferred loan to jumpstart this the last two semesters.

I humble before all of you as I ask for your kind hearts to please help contribute to my educational goal. This will not just be for me but to ultimately better my three beautiful kids' lives. They have been my rock all through this journey!
