My name is Eric Nickerson and I am an 18-year-old aspiring cellist.

I have been practicing, playing, and learning the history of the cello since I was 9 years old.

My years of dedication and hard work have led me to where I am currently.

I will be attending the UNI (University of Northern Iowa) for the upcoming fall semester and look forward to continuing my education in music.

I plan to gain the knowledge and history of orchestral and chamber music while utilizing my Christian faith to give back to the youth and create an environment for all musicians to practice and learn music in suburban areas of the Illinois region that are currently in need.

Too often, young talents are limited to the access of training and development due to the lack of music institutions and resources in their area. My dream is to allow all gifted musicians to have the access to explore and dedicate their musicianship without the worries of commuting to a music community. I plan to create and construct music schools and programs in areas where they don't exist while enabling new communities to grow and support the future of quality music.

As this next journey in my life is truly a blessing, I understand the expectations ahead and I am asking those that are in support of my dream to make a contribution towards my goal.
