Empower Enrique: Help Fund His Prosthetic Arm-Hand

This is Enrique. He is the proud owner of Flores Landscaping, a loving husband, and father of three. In June of 2025, Enrique experienced a horrific accident. While trimming trees, he was electrocuted by an electrical power line. Enrique spent 6 weeks in the hospital and had to have 13 surgeries as the doctors made every attempt to save his leg and arm. Enrique is tremendously grateful that God saved his life and that his leg was completely saved. Unfortunately, Enrique’s left hand and part of his forearm had to be amputated.

Enrique isn’t just the owner of Flores Landscaping; he is the heart and soul of his family and his company. Enrique is the go-to person for many, many homeowners in the Georgetown/Austin area that need help with their properties. Enrique offers more than yard maintenance; he is a talented designer of stone borders and sidewalk projects, deck projects, and storage buildings. When it comes to all things outside the home, there is little Enrique cannot do; the list goes on and on.

A prosthetic hand and arm will empower Enrique at home, work, and throughout his daily life. A type of myoelectric prosthesis will be controlled by his own muscle signals and can pick up nerve impulses and use them to control the motors of the prosthetic hand. This type of prosthesis can offer precise and versatile control over a wide range of finger movements and grip patterns, making it possible to perform the everyday activities needed for his business and personal life.

The itemized cost for a prosthesis of this type is $65,000. As of Thanksgiving week we received confirmation from the Orthotics company that they will accept $47,000 for the prosthesis. Talk about a great reason to give thanks! The entire amount must be paid before the device can be obtained. We've added an additional $2,000 to help with therapy costs with the prosthesis and the fees incurred with GoFundMe. Fortunately, insurance paid the entire medical costs of his hospital stay, but insurance will not pay for any portion of the prosthesis. Enrique and his wife, Lucy, along with many of his clients and friends, are asking for your help.

If you’re able, please give and please share Enrique's story. Every gift, large or small, brings Enrique closer to being able to return to a more normal life, to participate in activities with his children, and to perform the many functions needed for his business, his livelihood, and everyday tasks. Enrique and Lucy thank you from the bottom of their hearts for whatever you can do.

A personal note from a long-time client:
Asking for help is difficult. Even with the amputation, Enrique is determined to continue building his business to help area residents and support his family. Those of us that know him are very proud of his thankful and determined attitude, and we know that with his talent and genuineness, he can succeed.
Enrique’s clients consider him a person they can trust, a friend, and a helper. They know they can call on him in times of need, such as after a bad storm that causes tree limbs to crash on a roof or an unanticipated event that requires immediate attention, like a broken sprinkler head spewing water when the owner is out of town.
With help from many, we can accomplish this large task. Please give and please share Enrique’s story. The link can be copy and pasted in a text or any social media, such as Facebook, Instagram or TikTok. Thank you for reading and for caring.
God bless you, Debra C., Georgetown, TX
