Empower EMANYATTA Youth: Journey to Ghana

We are raising funds to take a life-changing educational journey to Ghana, Africa. We will be there from July 16–23, 2025, with a 30, plus person delegation of youth Warriors from EMANYATTA - a culturally rooted, research-based  inprogram designed to teach them their ancestry. These young scholars, who began with us in grades K–4, have grown into proud middle and high schoolers with a deep understanding of their African ancestry and cultural identity. Research confirms what we’ve always known: when Black children know who they are, they thrive. This trip is not a luxury; it is a transformative rite of passage often reserved for the affluent. Our youth come from underserved communities and cannot afford this opportunity without your help. The total estimate of costs is $85,000, and every dollar brings us closer to empowering our future leaders with a global perspective. Research shows that for every $1 invested in community-defined, evidence-based practices like Emanyatta, funders save $5 in long-term social costs.
