Empower Elma's Future: Donate for Tuition

My name is Jen Dera and I am a "fill in parent" for a beautiful young lady named, Elma. Elma is not living with her parents, as they are not accepting of her identity, and has been residing with our family for a year. She is intelligent, kind, respectful, hardworking, determined, and creative. Elma is accepting of everyone, something I wish her and her parents had in common.

Elma has zero financial support from her family and is pursuing a degree in Physics at Northern Michigan University. While Elma has been able to get independent student status with the college financial aid office, her tuition bill for this year is far more than she was prepared for. While I wish I was in a position to cover her college expenses, we have three other kiddos in college this year, and it just is not feasible. Just yesterday, Elma realized that she misread her financial aid offer and realizes it is double what she had initially thought. Her first installment on her payment plan is coming up and at this point, the outlook isn't so great.

If you have it in your heart to please help support this great, young adult, to further her education, I know how very much she would appreciate it. Elma will do great things in life, I am certain of that, she just needs an extra hand and some support from those around her!
