Empower Elisa's Dream: Royal Central School London

Hi! My name is Elisa Pedraza Sanchez. I just graduated with a B.F.A. Performance and Production major with a minor in Business Administration and Honors Studies. This fall I will attend the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama to pursue an M.F. A. in Creative Performance. I am fundraising to pay for school and rooming expenses!

My entire life, my parents have always instilled in me the importance of education and how it can take me far in life. I have been passionate about theatre since I can remember, and I feel incredibly blessed that I get to do this as a career. Leaving my family and friends to pursue my dreams has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever made, but it is because of their love and support that I feel strong enough to do it. Jumping in the river at graduation, a long-lasting Texas State tradition, is a highlight of my life as I ended this chapter, but continue this journey with these incredible people that

In my undergraduate years, I was involved in and co-managed a non-profit student-led theatre company called Jeremy Torres Lab Theatre, which focused on uplifting underrepresented voices like LGBTQ+ and BIPOC. I'm pursuing a career in theatre because of the impact that it had on my life and the many benefits it can provide. This art form saves lives, and I want to be part of the community that provides a home to many!
