Empower Dreams of College for Wellington Wolves!
Donation protected
In the heart of South Florida, a team of young athletes aspires to greatness not only on the basketball court but in the classroom and beyond. The 11th-grade Wellington Wolves (Glenn) Boys AAU Travel Basketball Team is on a mission to turn their dreams of becoming college student-athletes into reality, and they need your help to make it happen.
With a goal of $25,000, the Wolves are seeking assistance. As a nationally recognized basketball program, they have set their sights on attending out-of-state NCAA Live Period Tournaments where college coaches actively scout for potential scholarship recipients. The rising costs associated with participation, averaging $4,000 per athlete for the season, pose a significant challenge.
Travel, uniforms, coaching, tutoring, gym time, equipment, insurance, and registration are just some of the costs incurred. This support is crucial to ensuring that these talented student athletes have the resources they need to excel academically and athletically, paving the way for a future filled with opportunities.
These tournaments are not just competitions; they are gateways to higher education through sports. Your contribution will directly impact the lives of these aspiring student-athletes. It will provide them with the chance to showcase their skills, catch the eye of college coaches, and secure scholarships that can be life-changing. More than just a game, basketball becomes the vehicle that propels them toward a brighter future.
With two National Honor Society athletes and a commitment to providing free tutoring to all team members, the Wolves invest in the academic success of their players. On average, 5-8 college scholarships are offered to Wellington Wolves players each year, a testament to the program's effectiveness in shaping not just athletes, but future leaders.
The impact of your support extends beyond the court. Three former players, Scottie Barnes, John Collins, and Trent Frazier, who once wore the Wellington Wolves jersey, are now professional players. These success stories are a testament to the transformative power of this program, and with your help, the Wolves aim to continue this legacy.
Be a part of something bigger than basketball. Help the Wellington Wolves soar to new heights, not just as athletes but as scholars and leaders.
