Support me in Study Abroad in South Africa – Dionne’s Journey of Heritage, Healing, and Growth

As most of you know, I’ve been given a rare opportunity to study abroad in South Africa this summer, a place that represents both a return to my African roots and a powerful step forward in my continued education. This program will allow me to deepen my understanding of culture, wellness, and the African Diaspora so I can come home better equipped to serve my community and inspire others.

I’m raising funds for the international flights, 1 meal per day and trip incidentals like buying souvenirs. These funds will help cover some of the expenses need for this trip. Any contribution, big or small, helps with some of the costs while studying overseas.

This journey means more to me than travel. Growing up disconnected from my African roots, I’ve spent years rediscovering who I am. Studying in South Africa will allow me to walk on the same ground as Nelson and Winnie Mandela, connect with my heritage, and bring what I learn back to empower others—especially young women of color.
