I'm David Ybarra and I am asking for some help using Gofundme.

I am a songwriter and musician and have been medically retired since 2002, due to complications from being a Type 1 Diabetic.

In the beginning of 2020, I had a major fall that has destroyed my L3/L4 of my lower back, this injury has had major consequences on my walking and standing.

This injury has changed my life in a rather negative way, not being able to walk even to very short distances and standing is limited to about 2 minutes.

I have had many surgeries to remedy my issues with no success.

I am suffering from depression and do not see any change in the near future.

An answer to my mobility issue is obtaining a collapsible, powered wheelchair that can placed in my car to be used to get around. I imagine being able to go to the mall, see a move and even experience a stroll on the beach boardwalk...many stores do not have provisions for disabled folks like myself to shop at their stores. My life is beginning to be less open.

I have searched for the wheelchair that would meet my needs and have found a suitable unit.

The wheelchairs that are available, simply don't meet my needs. My health insurance will not cover such a unit, so I am hoping to get some help to pay for this.

The wheelchair costs over $ 3,000.00 and I'm on permanent disability making paying for this very difficult.

I am looking into the worlds kindness and charity to help me.
