Empower Communities to Recycle ALL plastics

Tax deductible

Waste Free in 23(WF23) is a world wide peer to peer - crowd sourced initiatives started by the Association of Waste Pickers and Waste Collectors in Nairobi Kenya.

Their goal was to find and implement processes that would allow them to recycle MORE of the trash they collect and sort. Before WF23 they worked a full day and could you collect and get paid for certain metals, clean PET bottles and some food waste.

With WF23 they can process ALL the household trash they receive! All plastics are recycled into products the community can use and sell. All food waste is used to create chicken feed, compost and create biogas.

The Association of Waste Pickers and Collectors now have the means to create value from their work, increase their incomes 50% and simultaneously clean the environment! Our environment. The burning trash in Nairobi pollutes ALL our air...so when any of us do a better job managing waste we all benefit.

The operations of these WF23 recycling centers run by the community members are financially self sustaining. What your donations is desperately needed for is training and $300 USD to buy a plastic recycling heat press. With these tools communities in Nairobi and around the world can be waste free, learn valuable skills and clean their / our /everyone's environment.

Please Donate $100, $250 or $500 USD.

  • Support the training of a community to recycle upcycle all their waste - plastic , food paper and more.
  • part of the training is how to build equipment and run a business - valuable education for future projects and endevours
  • Support Pencils for Plastics. the WF23 community and student outreach program. At event held in a community or school students and community members bring trash plastic to a meeting point and learn who to protect the environment and that any community can be waste free with cooperation
  • Contribute to purchase the tools and equipment needed to recycle all plastics. $300 USD buys a heat press which can upcycle 1,000 pounds / 500 kg of soft plastics a day!
