Empower Latino Animators: Fund Resilient Coquí
Donation protected
The Resilient Coquí is a new short film by Puerto Rican Story Teller, Chevez Jedai Sanchez. It tells the story of a young coqui frog who learns about the resilience of his people in the face of natural disasters.
This fundraising campaign is to hire young, independent, up and coming animators of color to bring this film to life.
"I’m creating the Resilient Coquí because I want to tell a story that celebrates being Boricua, and the powerful spirit of a people that have endured countless natural disasters, as well as colonial oppression. Your donations will support the creation of this project, and will fund months of work for several Latino animators. Please spread the word so it can reach a wider audience."
Chevez J Sanchez - Director
This short film is being produced by Cleos Studios LLC, an independent animation studio based in New York that has an almost entirely Latino production crew. This campaign will go to hiring in-house animators, painters, music composers, and other creatives from pre to post-production.
