Empower Caidyn's Journey to Serve Abroad

Hello, my name is Caidyn Garee and I am a senior at Amanda Clearcreek High School.
I have been given the opportunity to intern at the Dominican Republic May 22-July 5 through Freedom International Ministries. Freedom International is a non-profit missions organization. Two years ago, I first heard about Freedom and the opportunities they had to go on short and long-term mission trips overseas. The Lord has really inspired me to grow and challenged me to love and serve others, and I began to pray about serving internationally. After much prayer and guidance, I have been called to intern there this summer
In the Dominican Republic, I will be working alongside a local ministry called Freedom Christian School. The Freedom team serves children and communities in both Ramon Santana as well as more rural areas, such as Lima, where they established Freedom. The local missionaries are working to educate students and help them grow academically and most importantly spiritually. There are many physical needs throughout the Dominican, but also many spiritual needs. The words of Jesus in Acts 1:8 have spurred me to want to share the gospel with the world, not only here in Ohio, but also in places like the Dominican Republic, as he has told us that we are to be his “witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
The Lord has called me to go and serve in the Dominican, and I would love your support as I embark on this endeavor. First and foremost, I ask for your prayers. Specifically, that you would join me in praying for the children we will be working with at the Freedom Christian School as well as the communities. Another way that you can help is by giving financially. Both of these trips are individually funded; therefore I am raising support to go.
Thank you!
