Hello this is Marie and I am once again asking for donations for my friend Bob. He is losing his sight and has severe tremors in both hands due to a brain disease that can not be treated.

Our first GoFundMe provided Bob with a new iphone 16. It has helped him tremendously. Because he can't use his hands to press buttons, he is able to use his voice to use his phone. "Hey, Siri!"

We have found a relatively new device called Meta Ray Ban glasses that could provide Bob with more assistance. Bob was able to try the glasses with the help of the CT Bureau for Education and Services for the Blind (BESBE). It was miraculous. If he turned his face towards something and asked the glasses to describe what he was "seeing", it described it in detail. He looked at mail and the glasses were able to read the print aloud to him!

Bob is hoping to use the Meta glasses primarily for reading: for example, while shopping because he isn't able to read labels.

The glasses work through his iPhone, so he can make phone calls using his voice when he has the glasses on. He can talk on the phone and listen to music through the small speakers in the arms of the glasses.

The model we are purchasing for him is 25% off. His pair will have lenses that darken when the light increases. This is important for him now, because his eyes have become sensitive to light.
