Empowering Black Women Through Fashion: Vanna Black x Yayá Muxima Carnival 2025
We're uniting Afrocentric haute couture with Bahia's powerful women-led Samba Reggae movement to create economic opportunities through fashion. Help us empower 50 Black women to learn professional fashion production while creating stunning carnival costumes for Salvador's legendary celebration.
In the vibrant heart of Salvador, Bahia, something revolutionary is taking shape. Vanna Black, an Afrocentric haute couture fashion label, is joining forces with Yayá Muxima, a transformative women's Samba Reggae collective, to create more than just carnival costumes – we're crafting futures.

- The groundbreaking Rainhas Gedein collective
- The body-positive Vai Ter Gorda movement
Vanna Black reimagines luxury through an Afrocentric lens, creating haute couture that honors our heritage while building economic opportunities. We believe fashion can be a catalyst for social change when rooted in cultural traditions.
