Hello. My name is Azaria Lusk, and I would like to thank you in advance for donating to this cause. I just celebrated my 17th birthday, go to North Salinas High School and I am mostly a straight A student. I am the oldest of 5, my siblings are Stevee, Emiliano, Miliania, and Inez. They mean the world to me and are the reason why I keep going. We have been through very hard times together, as our mother fell into drug addiction. Even though we live with different families now, I talk to them regularly and strive to keep us connected. I currently live with and care for my elderly grandparents. I listen to podcasts and read medical books so that I can help them make better life choices for their medical conditions. Even though I have been through dark times, I still have big dreams. Between having a love of children and a genuine interest in healthcare, I know I would make a great pediatrician. I want to achieve this dream one day not only for myself but also for my siblings. That’s why I applied to a medical and health summer program at UC Berkeley through the National Youth Leadership Forum. I am so excited that I was accepted to the program and am currently job searching to earn money, but need financial support to achieve the high tuition cost of $4K.
