Empower AU Students' Cross-Cultural Tech Exchange
Spende geschützt
Three of American University’s Design and Build Lab (DaBL) Student Staff have been invited to exchange and learn abroad!
The Pontificia Universidade Catolica de Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio, Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro), one of the leading universities in Latin America, has invited American University students to a cross-cultural experience to further their exploration of innovative technology. DaBL’s counterpart is a collection of seven advanced laboratories within PUC-Rio’s Departamento de Artes e Design (DAD, Department of Arts and Design).
With these funds, students will be exposed to foreign technological innovations, connect with the international makers' industry, and experience culture and art that incorporate the skills they are acquiring in the DaBL.
The students who are taking part in this cultural exchange come from diverse backgrounds and fields of concentration, including Computer Science, Physics, International Relations, and Studio Art. As part of this study tour, DaBL Student Staff aim to develop new ideas and prototypes relevant to their studies and will document their experiences and findings in detailed journals that will be disseminated upon their return. With this, they hope that other American University Students may benefit from their learning.
Financial contributions will be used to fund their travel, meals, and lodging. Any support to make this study tour a reality will be greatly appreciated!!!
