Empower Asian Creatives: Fund The Dynasties Cabaret

Thank you for your interest in supporting The Dynasties.

My name is Preston Mui, and I am a Chinese American independent movement artist based in New York City. I began my career as a professional dancer, performing alongside pop idols, vocal powerhouses, and Hollywood legends. My choreography credits include The Masked Singer on FOX, RUN by Cirque du Soleil, and multiple musicals at East West Players, the nation’s leading Asian American Pacific Islander theater company. Currently, I perform on Broadway as George Eacker in the hit show Hamilton. Learn more about my work at www.prestonmui.com.

In 2014, I founded The Dynasties, an all-Asian, female-presenting cabaret dance group based in Los Angeles. Over the years, we’ve developed music videos, show concepts, and paid tribute to legends like Pat Suzuki from Flower Drum Song. You can check out our work on our YouTube channel: @xoxothedynasties .

This year, I’m stepping into a new chapter with a personal project—NEW ASIA.

I’ve been envisioning NEW ASIA for nearly a decade, driven by a desire to create a space where my best friends could share the stage, embrace their power, and own their sexuality. Now, alongside a small but mighty producing team and a collective of incredibly talented Asian dancers, we finally have the opportunity to bring this vision to life and share it with the world.

We are raising $20,000 to support the creation of our first evening-length work, which will debut as a monthly residency at Sleepwalk in Brooklyn, NY, beginning April 6th.

Now more than ever, it’s essential to be unapologetically and boldly Asian. This project is our way of uplifting and empowering Asian creatives. Our aim is to create a platform where we can express ourselves freely and share our gifts with audiences who are ready to celebrate us.
