Empower Ash's Life: Fund Hearing Aids
Donation protected
Asking for help isn’t my norm. But here I am. My name is Ash (Ashley Rose Gomes). My Goal is 1,200.
All my life, I’ve had a hard time with my hearing. I waited quite some time to be able to get into the audiologist only to officially be told that I am losing my hearing. I’m 100% deaf in my left due to a medical condition from birth. I have lost about 80% of my hearing in my right.
I'm an active stepmom of 5, my wife and I have three of them living at home. We are an active family. Sports, travel, seeing our two sons in college, and with me playing women’s football for the Lake Stevens Valkyries, we are busy with motherhood and more. I am on state insurance and unfortunately, they do not cover hearing aids. Not being able to hear has been a challenge in my everyday life. Not only with involvement in conversation but with my job and even in my home. My kids think it’s funny they can talk low and I can't hear, we giggle about it. But I want to be able to have the ability to utilize a device until I can’t. Anyone who knows me knows I give back to the community, and it’s my coaching, fundraising, and my daycare and helping raise and educate others' children. I would appreciate any donation.
Much love and appreciation.
