Empower April with a 4x4 Wheelchair

My name is Dennis, a paralyzed veteran of 43 years. Although I am in a wheelchair, I have been able to do a lot of things with the support of my family and the specialized equipment I have been able to get.

Recently, I was on a trip to Yellowstone National Park when I met a family whose mother was in a wheelchair. She was staying at a cabin behind my camper, and she was stuck in the sand leading to her cabin. I went over to talk to them in my Magic Mobility X8 4X4 wheelchair and learned her story. She is a single mother of five who suffered a stroke that left her completely immobile and unable to speak. Her family cares for her and involves her in their family trips. Before her stroke, she enjoyed spending time outdoors with all of her kids. She currently can't do that or even get outside as much as she would like to because her power chair cannot navigate rugged terrain.

I am trying to raise funds to purchase a four-wheel-drive wheelchair for April. Wheelchairs like this run upwards of $20,000. I have been able to secure one of the Sunrise Magic Mobility X8 4-wheel drive chairs for $8,000. Through the generosity of friends and professional associates, we have currently raised $4,000. I am trying to raise the final $4,000. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
