I am a Scouting America leader with the Greater Colorado Council, helping Angel Levin raise money to attend the 2025 World Scout Moot in Portugal. As an exchange student myself and the parent of an Eagle Scout that attended the World Scout Jamboree in 2019, I have seen the impact of spending time with people from other countries.

I would like Angel to be able to have this experience to cap off her amazing scouting journey as a youth. All funds collected will remain with me until we pay them for the fees and travel expenses. If for some reason Angel can not attend the Moot, funds collected will be used for a scholarship fund for other scouts to attend World Scouting events.

Angel's story:

I am thrilled to share that I have been selected to represent the Scouting America Contingent at the 16th World Scout Moot in Portugal from July 25 to August 3, 2025. This incredible event brings together over 5,000 young people aged 18-25 from more than 80 countries to foster cultural exchange, leadership, and community spirit.

Throughout the Moot, I will participate in outdoor adventures, skill-building workshops, community service projects, and discussions on global issues. This experience will not only help me grow as a person but also allow me to make lifelong connections with scouts from around the world.

My Scouting Journey:

I have been part of the scouting movement since I was a Tiger, earning the Arrow of Light, Eagle Scout, and Summit Award. I have over a year of camping nights, served as camp staff for 7 years, and was an active member of the Order of the Arrow. I worked with the Admonition Team at NOAC 2024 in Boulder, CO, served as the Greater Colorado Council VOA President including being on the executive board as one of the key 3 youths, and earned the Venturing Leadership Award and my Wood Badge beads last year at the age of 21. I continue to be involved with Scouting America at the Council level to support diversity in the scouting community and make it easier for scouts that come after me.

The participant fee for the event is $2,200, which covers accommodation, meals, activities, and travel expenses within Portugal. There are additional travel fees to get to Portugal. Unfortunately, this cost is beyond my current financial means, and I am reaching out to you, my friends, family, and community, for help.
