Greetings from the heart of San Miguel de Allende, where the San Miguel Rugby Club stands as a beacon of sporting passion and community spirit. Today, we invite you to be part of an inspiring journey – a journey that extends beyond the rugby field and into the lives of the young and aspiring players in our community.

Since our inception in 2012, our club has grown into a competitive and communal pillar within the Federación Mexicana de Rugby Union (FMRU). Our teams, encompassing Men, Women, and Youth, have not only participated in FMRU competitions but have also made significant strides at regional and national levels. Our pride swells in sharing that five of our girls have played for the under-19 Guanajuato state rugby team, achieving third place in the National Olympics in Guadalajara. Further testament to our excellence, four of our girls have tried out for the Mexican National Team, with two being selected, and one proudly representing Mexico in the National 7's team globally for three years.

Our dedication to rugby goes beyond competitive success. We’ve launched initiatives like a free youth rugby program and a social service program, positively impacting hundreds directly and thousands more indirectly in San Miguel. These initiatives aim not just to teach rugby but to instill values, build character, and create opportunities for growth and learning.

As we strive to become the premier rugby club in Guanajuato, we face the reality of financial constraints. Currently self-funded, without state or local government support, our challenges affect our players, including those with National Team aspirations, who face limited funding for their pursuits.
