Empower an Entrepreneur in Bauchi, Nigeria

As members of Leadership Initiatives' (LI) International Internship Program, Team 24640 has been collaborating with local entrepreneurs to address critical grassroots challenges facing small business owners in Bauchi, Nigeria. To transform lives, the team & LI are working to train local entrepreneurs in financial literacy and business management. Through this, vulnerable men and women will develop capacities in vocational & business skills to empower & equip them to escape extreme poverty.

Team 24640 is working specifically with Janet James. Abandoned by her father at a young age, Janet has worked tirelessly throughout her life to eventually open up a bakery in Bauchi. The lone employee, she works at her show 6 days a week so she can provide for her family, and pay for her sister's school fees.

With your donation, Janet and many others like her, will be able to hone the financial and marketing skills that they need to succeed to help them escape poverty.
