Empower an Autistic Individual: Stability Needed

Donation protected
I left my 13+ year career with the federal government 2 years ago. I did apply for jobs with transferable skills. It is difficult for autistic individuals to obtain and sustain employment, despite our efforts.

I invited my older brother to live with me the year before. He was an alcoholic and, as a result, emotionally abusive. I spent nearly 3.5 years, and my retirement, helping him get back on his feet. It didn't take.

Little money, in debt (from back rent I couldn't keep up with for the both of us), and emotionally broken, I managed to get a studio apartment on my own.

I drive for Uber to make ends meet, which was made possible by my younger sister and her husband helping me purchase a vehicle. I intend to pay them back. I also do the occasional art market with my puppets.

4 years of survival mode triggers recurring burnout, which is pronounced and prolonged with Autism. Surviving is not enough. I am admitting I need additional help to thrive.

Funds would principally go to my rent, my largest expense each month.
