Empower an Autistic Child's Journey to Camp
Donation protected
Hi, I am 6 years old and I have autism. Having autism makes it difficult for me to communicate, self regulate, learn, play and take care of myself. I want to go to a special needs sleepaway camp, called Yaldeinu, where I can finally be just like all the other kids my age. I also want to learn to swim and ride a bike but I'm too scared. Maybe in camp I will be able to. My family loves me so much and they want to give me the chance to shine and be loved and accepted among my peers, but camp is so expensive. It's more expensive than my favorite lego set! I think I will learn to play and socialize and communicate better in camp. I will learn how to express myself the right way. I will also have tutors to help me learn to read which my whole class already does but I have a very hard time focusing. I was accepted to camp and it is starting in July! Can you help send me to a special camp for kids like me where I can learn and grow and have friends?
Thank you so much!
