Empower an Artist's Journey to Italy

Hi, my name is Elena and I am an actor.

As an artist, I have worked to prioritize my acting education over the last year. While financially it has been a difficult balance, it is an imperative commitment to myself and my art as someone who tried to suppress my desire to live and work as an actor for nearly a decade. I now know that my art is non-negotiable; it is my true work and offering to others, and it is equally life-saving to me.

Through Arizona Actors Academy, I have been privileged to access work-study opportunities that have allowed me to attend regular classes for a year and a half. This resource has been fundamental to my ability to train consistently. But it does not cover the full cost of regular training or advanced education through intensives or specialty programs. This is why I am asking for your support.

This spring, I have the opportunity to access sought-after education from one of my coaches, Brandy Hotchner, at a Dream Work Retreat in Italy. Brandy is an esteemed actor, director, coach, and student of Sandra Seacat, who pioneered dream work for creatives. This March, she is hosting a week-long intensive for her students and creatives internationally. Admission is limited and sought-after.

As an artist committed to my craft and personal growth, it would be incredibly impactful to attend this workshop. This is not the kind of space that is commonly available to artists and is rarely accessible to working-class folks. The timing of this opportunity within my own life is significant as I have worked to center my training and deepen my artistry and skill set as an actor for what will be two years at the time of the workshop. It is important to me professionally, artistically, and it is deeply personal.
