The Akeer Foundation, in partnership with the Stanford Social Entrepreneurial Students Association (SENSA Consulting), is working to bring accessible, high-quality education to rural South Sudan by building a permanent school in the village of Akeer-Adoor, where more than 1,000 children currently walk up to four hours each day just to attend class. With land granted by local tribal leadership, this effort has become a true community-driven project—one that the entire village is deeply committed to and actively engaged in. In addition to constructing the school itself, we are working with the Bloombox Design Lab to create a solar-powered computer and innovation space, providing students with technology access and hands-on learning opportunities in a region without reliable electricity. Through this fundraiser, we hope to support construction, sustainable solar infrastructure, and educational tools that will empower the youth of Akeer-Adoor with opportunities for learning, creativity, and a brighter, self-determined future.
