My name is Aiden Slade. I am currently a junior at North Kitsap High School in the beautiful city of Poulsbo, WA.
This summer, I have the chance of a lifetime to attend the prestigious Vogue Summer Fashion School in the heart of New York City for two incredible weeks! This isn't just any program—it's an immersive experience where I'll dive into the vibrant world of fashion while studying Fashion Journalism and Media, learning face-to-face from industry icons, and connecting with fellow students from around the globe. Vogue Summer Fashion School offers 2 weeks of full-time, in-person classes, field trips to top design firms, fashion museums, and fashion symposiums, plus staying in a downtown Manhattan dorm with other passionate students like me. I believe this opportunity will kickstart my future in the fashion industry and be an unforgettable adventure!
I've worked super hard to make this dream come true by extensively researching the school and program, submitting my application and letter of intent completely on my own, gathering all the required recommendation letters, and begging my parents to let me go! The program costs a total of $7,500, and my parents have been amazing by covering most of it. Now, they want me to have the experience of fundraising the remaining $2,500 on my own. Fundraising is a bit out of my comfort zone, but it's a necessary step I must take towards achieving my goals.
