In 2005, African Sisters for Information, Knowledge & Empowerment (ASIKE) was founded with a simple but powerful mission: to change the world, one girl at a time. For 21 years, we have advanced that mission through our Sponsor-A-Child (S-A-C) Scholarship Program.
For many girls, support with school fees means the difference between continuing their education and leaving school too soon. Education creates opportunity. When a girl stays in school, she is better positioned to pursue university, entrepreneurship, meaningful work, and a future of her own choosing. The impact reaches far beyond one student—to her family, her community, and generations to come.

Success Stories:
- One of our earlier successes and still the most powerful stories of connection that I have ever heard had to do with Joe. Unbeknownst to us, Joe's orphanage was closing down; however, he was so sure that his pseudo ASIKE aunties were going to get him. On an unrelated note, one of our Ghanaian ASIKE sisters asked her biological sister who lives in Ghana to visit Joe. When she got there, she informed us of the situation, and with our continued sponsorship of school, she proceeded to adopt Joe. And so began a complete change in the direction of his life, initiated by the ASIKE Sponsor-A-Child (S-A-C) program.
