My name is Jeff Lee, and I am reaching out on behalf of Light Presbyterian Church in Toronto. We are embarking on a heartfelt mission to support 13 courageous Afghan women who have defied the odds to pursue their education in Canada. Through the Vulnerable People Project (VPP), our church is dedicated to helping these women secure a brighter future.
Under the oppressive Taliban regime, education for women in Afghanistan has become a forbidden dream. Yet, these remarkable individuals have shown incredible resilience and determination by obtaining scholarships to study in Canada. Now, they are beginning a new chapter in Toronto, filled with hope and opportunity. However, transitioning to life in a new country presents significant challenges, and scholarships alone do not cover all their needs.
For their security, we cannot disclose their names publicly, but if anyone is interested in learning more about their journey or how to support them further, please feel free to reach out to me directly at [email redacted].
The funds we raise will go directly to supporting these women by providing essential resources such as accommodation and winter gear necessary for their well-being in Canada. They need our help to afford daily essentials and living expenses, allowing them to focus wholeheartedly on their studies and personal growth.
Your support can make a profound difference. By donating, you empower these women not only to continue their pursuit of knowledge but also to break barriers and inspire others around the world. Every contribution, no matter how small, plays a vital role in helping them build their dreams.
Let’s unite as a community to show our strength and compassion. Together, we can help these young women create a future filled with possibilities and serve as a beacon of hope for others facing similar challenges. Thank you for your generosity and kindness; your support truly matters.
