Empower a Passion for Art: College Tuition Aid

I'm looking to raise $1,500 to help fund my return to the Community College of Philadelphia this Fall 2025. This jumpstart would help me out a lot in addition to scholarships I'm applying to and any financial aid I can receive from the government.

A little about my education plan:

I am currently completing the Barnes De Mazia program at the Barnes Foundation where I received a 2-year scholarship. I have made great connections with my professors here, and I get so much joy being in the museum every week.

I have a 5-year plan for completing a bachelor's in art history and a master's in library science & information systems. But first, I need to finish my associate's. My 5-year plan gives me many job opportunities; for example, I could work in museums, archives, research, law firms, libraries, non-profits, art galleries, and more.

I would like to get an entry-level museum job within the next few years and/or volunteer for a docent program to get more field experience.

A little about my past:

I am the son of Grandma Millie, an American primitive folk artist. I grew up across the street from my grandmother and spent many days in her art studio looking at art books, watching her paint, and watching Saturday morning cartoons. She is my greatest influence, and after I took a beginning drawing class at Fleischer Art Memorial here in Philadelphia a few years ago in honor of her, I began to research a path for myself out of the world of restaurants. After a lot of time pondering, talking to industry professionals, and more, I made the decision to go back to school to further my education and my love of art.
