I am a 51 year old with mental and physical health problems . Problems like severe and constant depression, PTSD , social anxiety, bulging and herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, damaged nerves and a heart condition called HCM(Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) with heart murmurs .
Over the years these have caused constant problems getting and keeping jobs . Spending months just trying to get 1 interview . Even when i did get a job it was only because i knew someone who would help me get the job . Most jobs only lasting 3-6 months due to missing time and how coworkers felt about me.
I have now been unemployed for since 2016 . fighting with disability . I have lost my bout with disability now and cannot apply again unless my health gets worse or i get diagnosed with something else . Throughout this time they continuously underestimate how bad my conditions are .
My mental state is the hardest part of trying to work . My social anxiety keeps me from being around people in general . Even going to family events I end up sitting in my car feeling uncomfortable and embarrassed. Along with my back problems it makes it completely impossible to work any job with physical labor or having to deal with coworkers or customers .
I have looked into work from home jobs online and found not only do most of them cost for training or have monthly subscriptions . There is also a lack of jobs due to AI or having something to do with customer support . I cannot do delivery apps due to not only limitations to lifting and carrying but also for driving . 20 Lbs is my lift, carry, push or pull limit and I'm not suppose to drive more than 30 minutes without a 15 minute break to stretch and move around .
I have been denied for disability because they continue to under estimate the severity of my health . Especially my mental health even though I have 2 professional counselors stating I should not work with or around public .
The money i raise here will go towards fixing and maintaining my vehicle so i can continue to support my wife's job and our only family income . The money will also go to monthly bills and i would like to try and start streaming for a possible income or possibly start a small business building and selling gaming PC's as well as parts and accessories.
