Empower a Mother and Daughter's Fresh Start

Hi, I’m a mom of a 6-year-old daughter. I’m 48 years old and I’ve been married for 14 years. I’m trying to get out of a verbally and financially abusive marriage. I no longer want to live this way, nor do I want my daughter to witness this toxic behavior that he is displaying towards me. My daughter and I deserve better. I was also a stay-at-home mom for 6 years, which was agreed upon, but what I was unaware of was that it would be used against me financially. He agreed to it so I would be home not making an income while he could control all the finances and essentially me. I finally said enough was enough and have started working again. However, now that I’m working, my money goes to food for her and myself(since he said we can’t eat his food), before and after school care for my daughter so I can substitute teach (which I just started, so the jobs are coming in slowly), I buy the essentials she and I need, household items since he won’t share, and my own bills so that we don’t have to rely on him. Long story short, he’s now threatening me with divorce and I feel like I’m drowning trying to keep my daughter and me safe and taken care of on a tiny income. I’ve found a lawyer  who is willing to help get us out .  I rarely ask for help and I know that any help I can get would be a blessing you would be helping my daughter with food , clothes, essentials, and  school care so I can work .
